Conventional fire alarms
Conventional fire alarms, also known as domestic fire alarms, have been
around for many years, yet they are now extremely reliable in notifying you when a fire may be occurring.
They trigger a signal when ever smoke may be detected, and with today's technology, they can now detect smoke at the earliest of times.
These systems are reliable and cost effective.
Analogue addressable systems
Analogue addressable fire alarm systems are for larger buildings such a hospitals or schools.
If a building is to have an analogue address system, then various rooms, if not all, would be installed with a detector and each detector would have its own unique address. When the detector is triggered, it tells the control system its address, and then the residents of the building will no exactly where the fault or danger has occurred.
